The group was organized in 1990. After two years of hard work and training the group for the first time took part in a competition – festival of Armenian Young Performers and was awarded the Grand Prize.

In 1993 Arai dance-show participated in the republican competition “Debjut” which was organized by the government of Armenia and was granted the first prize.

In 1996 took part in the annual competition “Gisastgh” and was declared the best among many other dance groups.

In 1997 took part in the republican competition “Nork 97” and again won the first place.

In 1996,97,99 and 2001 participated in the children`s TV competition and was announced the best.

In 2000 Arai dance-show participated in the international youth competition “Do Re Mi” which was held in Yerevan. The group won the third place in the competition.

From 1999 to 2002 according to the inquiries of the producer`s center “ E.L.L.A.SH” the group was announced the best during 3 years.

In 2000 and 2001 during the annual TV festival “Krunk” Arai dance-show was awarded the title of prize-winner and in 2002 it was awarded the highest prize “Silver Krunk”.

Arai dance show gave enumerable charitable concerts for many armenian military troops and soldiers.

The group participated in almost all governmental concerts.From the first year of its carrier Arai dance-show participated in more than 1000 concerts and cooperated with almost all armenian major stars such as Elvina Makaryan, Nune Yesayan, Nadejda Sarksyan, “Hayer” center, “Sharm” organization and with many singers from Yerevan State Theatre…

From 1992 to 1994 the group widened its activity and in 1994 it became a studio giving 100 pupils every year.

From 1994 together with the Republican Cultural Centre it initiated series of concerts named “Republican competition-festival of modern dances” and up to now it organized 10 republican competitions developing and propagandizing modern dances in Armenia.

From 1990 up to now the group gave concerts outside Armenia more than ten times.
